Visa requirement for Namibia as from 1 April 2025
Since April 1, 2025, citizens from Germany, Austria and Switzerland must also apply for a visa to travel to Namibia. Here is all relevant information:

1. Who needs a visa?
Citizens from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other countries must apply for a visa.
2. Where can I apply for a visa?
- Online via the e-visa portal: https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na
- When entering certain border crossings: (airports: Hosea Kutako International Airport, Walvis Bay International Airport, border crossings: Ariamsvlei, Impalila, Katima Mulilo, Mohembo, Ngoma, Noordoewer, Oshikango, Oranjemund, Trans Kalahari Border Posts, Port: Walvis Bay Harbour)
- At Namibian embassies or consulates
3. Visa costs
- NAD 1,600 (approx. 90 USD) for non-Africans
- NAD 1,200 (approx. 70 USD) for African nationals
- The fees can be adjusted annually.
4. Required documents
- Valid passport (valid for at least 6 months, 3 blank pages)
- Completed visa application
- Letter of invitation (if applicable)
- Confirmation of accommodation
- Travel agencies/plans
- Health or travel insurance
- When traveling with children: birth certificate or parental consent
5. Note for travelers with e-visas: Travelers with visas approved online must ensure that they can present all necessary documents upon arrival.
