To gain deeper insight into the EHRA project, we recommend a two-week volunteer stay. This gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Elephant Volunteering Project and learn more about the lives of local communities. You will sleep under the open sky, cook over an open fire, and have the unique chance to experience these majestic giants up close.

Hidden deep within the rugged and breathtaking landscapes of Damaraland, EHRA Eco Camp offers a unique opportunity to experience Namibia’s wild beauty up close. Here, you can witness the magic of the savanna and encounter the rare desert elephants in their natural habitat.

This artistically designed, self-catering camp allows you to fully immerse yourself in nature’s tranquility. The open-air kitchen, complete with a grill and dining area, invites you to prepare meals while surrounded by the vast Namibian wilderness. Thoughtfully designed sanitary facilities provide both comfort and sustainability, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

A favorite highlight for many guests? The treehouse. Overlooking the dried-up riverbed and the vast surrounding landscape, it offers a truly special place to relax and take in the scenery.

EHRA = Elephant - Human Relations Aid

EHRA (Elephant Human Relations Aid) is dedicated to fostering a harmonious coexistence between humans and elephants. Working closely with the local community, the organization focuses on conservation efforts that protect both the people and the animals that call this region home.

During a guided tour, you will gain insight into EHRA’s crucial work and have the rare chance to observe Namibia’s desert elephants, of which only around 150 remain in the wild. Witnessing these magnificent creatures in their natural environment is an experience you will never forget.

Would you like to explore Namibia’s wilderness while supporting conservation? Experience EHRA Eco Camp and be part of something truly special.
